Get Started HereJanet's Story
Janet's work centers on helping people participate more fully in their lives. For four decades, she served in conventional healthcare as a Licensed Occupational Therapist, Integrative OT, and Certified Grief Educator.
To complement her clinical background, Janet expanded into holistic mind-body healing as an Anatomy of Awakening Certified Facilitator and Certified Master Trainer of The Energy Codes. She offers teaching and one-on-one sessions worldwide through secure telehealth and online platforms. By combining healthcare experience with energetic principles, she helps clients navigate grief, physical imbalances, and long-standing patterns with compassionate, comprehensive care.
Over time, Janet became increasingly curious about the relationship between the body, mind, emotions, and inner life. When she discovered The Energy Codes® and B.E.S.T.—BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique—she found another layer of understanding that complemented her healthcare background.
B.E.S.T. offered a structured way to explore subconscious patterns and how unresolved emotions may influence the body-mind connection. For Janet, this work was not a rejection of her previous experience. It was an expansion of it.
She became a B.E.S.T. Practitioner in 2016 and continued developing her skills through Energy Codes Coaching, BodyAwake Yoga, advanced practitioner education, and Master Trainer certification. Today, Janet brings these disciplines together to offer an approach that is grounded, compassionate, and deeply personal.
Janet is a Colorado native who lives in Lakewood and welcomes clients from across the Denver West area at her Wheat Ridge clinic.
Outside her professional work, she remains actively engaged in yoga, learning, coaching, consulting, and caring for her home and family.
She describes herself as a lifelong explorer—someone who continues to learn, question, practice, and discover new ways of living with greater awareness. That spirit of exploration shapes the environment at Best Is Life. Clients are not expected to arrive with all the answers. They are invited to become curious about what may be possible.
The Philosophy
The body continually communicates through sensation, emotion, movement, breath, and patterns of response. Yet many of us learn to push through discomfort, ignore what we feel, or disconnect from ourselves in order to meet the demands of everyday life.
Through B.E.S.T., coaching, movement, and conversation, Janet creates space for you to:
The process is collaborative. Janet provides guidance and structure, but you remain an active participant in your own experience.
Why Grief Has a Place in This Work
Janet brings a deep, highly personal perspective to her grief support practice. Her understanding of loss is rooted in a lifelong journey that spans from in utero through to the present moment. Having navigated profound, life-altering grief that penetrates every layer of daily existence, she has fully embraced these experiences as the foundation of her healing work.
Her lived experience allows her to meet clients with authentic empathy, deep respect, and a rare ability to relate to extreme grief without judgment. This transformative personal journey has been such a defining part of her life that it inspired her upcoming memoir, where she shares her story of integration, resilience, and hope. By blending her rich personal background with professional expertise, Janet offers a truly compassionate space for individuals seeking mind-body healing, emotional balance, and body-centered grief processing.
The Approach
Patterns often develop for understandable reasons. Janet helps you explore them with openness rather than criticism or shame.
Your body, thoughts, emotions, relationships, environment, and life experiences are interconnected. Janet's approach respects the whole of who you are.
There is no universal path or predetermined outcome. Sessions are shaped around your goals, needs, comfort level, and responses.
You do not need to understand energy work before your first appointment. Janet explains the process and encourages questions throughout the experience.
Janet does not position herself as someone who fixes you. Her role is to help you reconnect with the awareness and wisdom already within you.
