Join Janet for a guided study of The Anatomy of Awakening by Dr. Sue Morter. Together, participants will explore its ideas through thoughtful discussion, guided questions, personal reflection, and guided embodiment practice.

The goal is not to have every answer. It is to create space for curiosity, shared learning, and a deeper relationship with the concepts presented in the book.

About Janet Sykora

Janet brings more than 39 years of healthcare experience to her work as an Occupational Therapist, certified B.E.S.T. Practitioner, Energy Codes Practitioner and Master Trainer, BodyAwake Yoga teacher, and Certified Grief Educator.

Her continued training also includes Anatomy of Awakening® facilitation, BioEnergetics, embodiment, movement, coaching, and whole-person wellness.

Do I need previous experience to attend?

Most introductory events are open to people with no previous experience. Any prerequisites will be clearly listed in the individual event details.

Do I need my own copy of The Anatomy of Awakening?

Participants should expect to have access to the book during the study. Registration details will clarify whether a copy is included or must be purchased separately.

Are online events live?

Online programs are expected to be interactive and held live unless an event description states otherwise. Details about recordings or missed sessions will be provided before registration.

Do I have to speak during a grief group?

You will be invited to participate, but you will not be required to share personal details beyond your comfort level.

Are Grief Education groups the same as therapy?

Grief Education / Occupational Therapy groups offer education, integration, and supportive connection. These interventions can stand alone and also complement other allopathic medical approaches such as psychotherapy, licensed counseling, and medical treatments.
